4. Website Payments and Contributions

6. App User Accounts
The Apologetics Ark app offers optional user accounts. Creating an account is not required - all app content is available without one. If you choose to create an account, we collect and store:
- Your email address
- A display name you choose
- A unique account identifier
Your password is never stored in readable form and is never visible to us or to any of our service providers. It is protected using industry-standard one-way encryption (bcrypt hashing) the moment it is received.
Account data is stored securely with Supabase, our authentication and database provider, and is protected by row-level security so that your account data is accessible only to you. Your account identifier is shared with RevenueCat solely so that any subscription or premium access can follow your account across your devices.
If you create an account, we send account-related emails only - such as email confirmation and password reset messages - from noreply@apologeticsark.com via our email provider, Brevo. We do not send marketing email through the app, and we never include your password in any email. You can permanently delete your app account at any time directly in the app: open My Ark, scroll to the Account section, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, sign-in credentials, and account records from our systems. Content saved on your device (such as bookmarks, streaks, and favorites) remains on your device, and any subscription remains managed through your Apple or Google account. If you are unable to access the app, contact us at info@apologeticsark.com and we will delete your account for you.

7. Local Data Storage
The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Bookmarks and reading history
- Favorite verses
- Reading stats and streaks
- Bible reader preferences (font size, dark mode)
- Last chapter read
This data is private to your device. Deleting the app will remove this data.
