This Privacy Policy is from Apologetics Ark LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), a Texas limited liability company. We operate the Apologetics Ark mobile application, the website https://www.apologeticsark.com, and our online store. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. It applies to users of our app on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, visitors to our website, and customers of our store.

1. Information We Collect
We may collect limited information to improve user experience and provide app, website, and store functionality. This includes:
- Device information (such as device type, operating system, and app version)
- Usage data (such as content viewed and time spent in the app)
- Push notification identifiers and subscription status
- In-app purchase and subscription data
- Account information, if you create an app account (see Section 6)
- Study data you save while signed in to an app account: highlights, notes you write on verses, favorite verses, reading streaks, articles you have read, Armory cards you have seen, and your Arena practice progress
- Verse likes: when you like a verse, we store the like so we can show a total count. If you are not signed in, a random device ID is used instead of your account.
- Feedback you send through the in-app feedback form (see Section 8)
- Store orders: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and the items you ordered (see Section 7)
We collect personally identifiable information such as your name and email address only when you voluntarily provide it, for example when contacting us, creating an app account or website member account, sending feedback, placing a store order, or making a contribution on our website.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

4. Website Payments and Contributions
Our website offers one-time gifts and monthly support plans. Payments made on our website are processed by Wix Payments and, where selected, PayPal. We do not store your credit or debit card information. When you make a payment on our website, we receive and retain:

5. Website Member Accounts
When you subscribe to a monthly support plan, a member account is created on our website. For member accounts we collect:

6. App User Accounts
The Apologetics Ark app offers optional user accounts. Creating an account is not required - all app content is available without one. If you choose to create an account, we collect and store:
- Your email address
- A display name you choose
- A unique account identifier
Your password is never stored in readable form and is never visible to us or to any of our service providers. It is protected using industry-standard one-way encryption (bcrypt hashing) the moment it is received.
When you are signed in, the study data you save in the app is saved to your account so it follows you to your other devices. This includes your highlights, notes you write on verses, favorite verses, reading streaks, articles you have read, Armory cards you have seen, and your Arena practice progress.
Account data and saved study data are stored securely with Supabase, our authentication and database provider, and are protected by row-level security so that your account data is accessible only to you. Your account identifier is shared with RevenueCat solely so that any subscription or premium access can follow your account across your devices.
If you create an account, we send account-related emails only - such as email confirmation and password reset messages - from noreply@apologeticsark.com via our email provider, Brevo. We do not send marketing email through the app, and we never include your password in any email. You can permanently delete your app account at any time directly in the app: open My Ark, scroll to the Account section, and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, sign-in credentials, account records, and the study data saved to your account from our systems. Data stored only on your device (such as bookmarks and reading history) stays on your device until you uninstall the app, and any subscription remains managed through your Apple or Google account. If you are unable to access the app, contact us at info@apologeticsark.com and we will delete your account for you.

7. Store Orders
Our online store sells Apologetics Ark merchandise. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and the items you ordered. Store purchases are processed by Wix and Wix Payments, and we do not store your card details. Our print partner, TapStitch, makes and ships each order, so it receives your name, shipping address, and the items you ordered.

8. Feedback
Messages you send through the in-app feedback form are stored in our private issue tracker, hosted by GitHub, so our team can review and fix what you report. If you are signed in, your message includes your display name, email address, and account identifier so we can follow up with you. Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback.

9. Data Stored on Your Device
Some data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers:
- Bookmarks and reading history
- Bible reader preferences (font size, dark mode)
- Last chapter read
If you use the app without signing in, your highlights, notes, favorite verses, reading streaks, and other study data also stay only on your device. Deleting the app will remove data stored only on your device.
